IWRL6432AOP: Question for IWRL6432AOP layout

Hi Expert,

One more thing need your help to check, we are going to do layout placement for IWRL6432AOP and reference design file is from EVK 3D file and it seems related circuit components is put on the other side of IWRL6432AOP chip. Could we put those components at the same side with IWRL6432AOP due to our current ME structure need to keep clearance for bottom side of PCB.

Hi Daniel

We recommend putting all the other components on the opposite side of the IWRL6432AOP device side of the board. This will ensure the antenna pattern remain unaffected by different component heights.

If the board size is much bigger, components can be placed far away from the device in east and west sides keeping no components in the north and south side of the device. But if the board size is small, we do not recommend putting any other components on the device side of the board.
