TMP117: Standby Time Accuracy

Part Number: TMP117

Tool/software:

Hi,

We are targeting a design incorporating the TMP117, for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. We would like to use the Continuous Conversion (CC) mode (no averaging).

Is there any data available on the tolerance / deviation of the Standby Time? How accurate is the 1s, 4s, 8s and 16s timing?

Thank you,

Quintin

  • Hi Quintin,

Our devices have internal oscillator calibration and checks in production which ensures that the timing of the each sensor is within spec--even if this is not a spec that is guaranteed in the datasheet. You can safely set the software sampling rate to be equal to the conversion + standby time and have a new temperature conversion in each read.

Unfortunately, I cannot share standard deviation or tolerances for this spec because this would come from production data which I cannot disclose.

    Best regards,

    Simon Rojas
