Tool/software:

Hi,

1. Does the induction intensity displayed by this Hall refer to the total magnetic field intensity at that location, or is it only the magnetic field intensity component in the direction perpendicular to the Hall?

2.When the magnetic field induction line is not perpendicular to the Hall induction plane, will it have a big impact on the Hall induction?

  • Hello Alon,

Thanks for considering to use Texas Instruments.

    1. The DRV5013 measures the magnetic flux density perpendicular to the hall element plate and the hall element plate is parallel with the silicon.

    2. The magnitude not perpendicular to the hall element will not be detected.  Impact depends on design.  I would suggest using our tool linked below to see how it influences your design.  https://webench.ti.com/timss/
