LAUNCHXL-CC3235SF: Can I modify ADC sample rate?

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC3235SF
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3235SF, SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

Hi, I'm trying to read an electret microphone with the CC3235SF's ADC. Using an osciloscope, I see the Mic's signal is well delivered, but when I take the data from the serial monitor, and draw a graphic, looks like if it was aliasing over my readings.

I tried to find a customizable parameter to change Sample Rate but I couldnt find it. Sysconfig adc options don't show anything related either. Is there a way to configure this sample rate?

Datasheet says it woks 62.5ksps, but I'm suspicious is not working with that range. I would like to try changing this parameter. Thank you.

  • Hello,

There are a Total of eight channels
     - Four external analog input channels for user applications
     - Four internal channels reserved for SimpleLinkTm subsystem (network and Wi-Fi®).

Fixed sampling rate of 16 µs per channel. Equivalent to 62.5K samples/sec per channel

Fixed round-robin sampling across all channels

Samples are uniformly spaced and interleaved. Multiple user channels can be combined to realize higher sampling rate. For example, all four channels can be shorted together to get an aggregate sampling rate of 250K samples/sec.

DMA interface to transfer data to the application RAM; dedicated DMA channel for each channel

You can basically enable more channels and increase the sample rate.
