Hi there,

I'm trying to use the IWRL6432BOOST EVM, running the Level Sensing example from Radar Toolbox v2.20.00.05. I'm getting this error on call to sensorStart after loading the attached config:

Error: mmWave Control Initialization failed [Error code -205787070] [errorLevel 2] [mmWaveErrorCode -3141] [subsysErrorCode 15376]
Error: Factory Calibration failure
Error: mmWave factory calibration failed
Error: mmWave Open failed [Error code: -3121 Subsystem: 15346]
Error -1

I've tried loading the ATE calibration firmware image in the MMWAVE-L-SDK, version 05.03.00.02 (14 Jul 2023), and letting it run in functional mode for a few minutes, but that didn't seem to make a difference.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Are you flashing the prebuilt level sensing demo binary of xwrL64xx from Radar Toolbox?

To be specific, I'm flashing the following image: radar_toolbox_2_20_00_05/source/ti/examples/Level_Sensing/high_accuracy_low_power_sensors/prebuilt_binaries/high_accuracy_xwrl64xx_demo.appimage

Hi,

I hope your SOP settings are correct and you are power cycling and resetting the device after switching to functional mode. If the issue persists, could you try running the OOB demo present in the SDK and check if you are getting a similar response?

I do see the command line coming up, so it looks like the SOP settings are putting the device in functional mode. When I flash the OOB demo, I don't actually see the command line coming up at all. Is that expected? However, I do see a similar result when I flash the mmwave_demo.

Is it possible that my device is missing factory calibration?

Hi,

Can you replicate the same experiment with a different IWRL6432BOOST EVM, so that we could conclude on whether it's a device issue?
