IWR6843: Calculation of max unambigious velocity

Hi,

We are using the TI IWR6843 chip for our sensing application. In the GUI you provide, we can see the "max unambiguous velocity" value.

Could you explain how you calculate this value? When we calculate it manually, we arrive at a different result. Could you please clarify how this value is calculated?

Additionally, could you provide the equation used in your calculations, along with the specific values involved?

And another question is When calculating wavelength what is the center frequency used?. Is this center frequency is center of the chirp or Center of the ADC Sapling frequency range?

Hi,

The center frequency is the center of the chirping frequency (between 57-64 GHz).

The formula is shown if you hover over the appropriate box in the mmwave sensing estimator.
