IWR6843AOPEVM: Lot of frames with zero point clouds and a strange cluster of pointcloud

Tool/software:

I am trying to access the quality of point cloud. For this I am walking back and forth infront of the radar. 

1. I observed that when I was moving away from the radar, there were lot of frames with negligible or no point clouds
2. There is a huge cluster of point cloud behind my track. In each iteration I get this cluster of point cloud which does not belong to any human reflections.

    Hello.

    You can tune the CFAR threshold to increase the number of points(reduce CFAR threshold) or decrease the number of points(increase CFAR threshold) based on the environment.  The cluster you are seeing may be due to other objects that have high reflectivity, so I would check that there is nothing else in the scene that could cause reflections.

    Thank you for the response Santosh. I observed one more thing, when I collect the data without any human in the radar range then I do not see that cluster. It always come when a person is walking infront of it. This was strange to me.

    Is that cluster moving around when you see it?  It may just be you or it could be multipath reflections due to the enclosed environment and the strength of the signal.  You can apply tx backoff to reduce the strength of the signal to reduce multipath reflections you are seeing.
