MMWCAS-DSP-EVM: Use RF module on a 2TX - 16RX setup with mmWave Studio

Part Number: MMWCAS-DSP-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWCAS-RF-EVM

Tool/software:

I'm trying to setup the MMWCAS-RF-EVM combined with the MMWCAS-DSP-EVM in order to only enable 2 TX antennas in the master device, and use all the RX antennas available (for the master and the slaves).

When I go in the Static Config menu to enable the antennas (following the guide in C:\ti\mmwave_studio_02_01_01_00\docs\mmwave_studio_cascade_user_guide.pdf), I can enable different antennas for the devices, as I understand that I first have to do a full enable of the master device, and then start the setup of the slaves. So, I try to set the Master as 2TX - 4RX and the Slaves as 0TX - 4RX.

When I'm in the Sensor Config, though, the Chirp Config in the bottom-left side of the screen doesn't allow me to enable the TX antennas as I want: sometimes, it shows me that every device (Master and Slaves) can enable the TX antennas (even if they're not supposed to), sometimes I'm not able to use any TX antennas, neither for Master nor the Slaves, even if I wanted them to. By the way, I also tried different configurations for one or more chips, using different number of TX - RX antennas for each of them, to see if this was something related to the number of antennas in all devices, but none of them seem to allow me to use the correct antennas in the Chirp Config.

I may also add, pointing to the related question I'm linking from, I am unable to achieve this result even with the help of Lua scripts, making sure that the API functions I'm calling support the correct parameters for enabled antennas, even if the GUI is somehow blocking me out in doing so.

I'm deducing, I clearly am in trouble because I'm setting up something not correctly, as my cascade devices do need to support different TX - RX configurations. Is there something to point out I did miss, when I'm trying to setup the device with different TX - RX antenna configurations? Is this something that I simply cannot do with this particular device? Please let me know.

Thank you.
