Hi
does this SOC supports 8k samples per chirp?
if not, could you please recommend me the radar 77GHz SOC which supports up to 8k samples per chirp

Hi,
The AWRL1432 can capture up to 2048 ADC samples in a chirp for each RX channels. May I know why do you need 8K samples per chirp?
Thanks,
Deexith.
Dear Voona,
our platform is long range (500-700m) radar with high range resolution, this is the reason for high quantity of samples.
could you please recommend me the radar 77GHz SOC which supports up to 8k samples per chirp ?
Hi Sergey,
AWRL1432 is targeted for short range and medium range radar applications such as Parking, Kick to Open, Corner Radar/ BSD. For long range radar applications, you should be referring to radars like AWR2243. You can refer to Automotive mmWave radar sensors | TI.com for the TI current portfolio vs targeted use-case. Regarding the ADC samples, please allow us a day or so to respond.
Thanks,
Deexith.
Hi,
For long range 180-220m you can check AWR2944 and cascade (AWR2243) for even longer range.
AWR2944 can support max 16KB of ADC buffer, i.e. it can store 16KB worth of chirp data (for all Rx channel together).
Please be noted when you use larger chirp size, then processing time will also higher and impacts overall processing time.
.
