Hi, We are using the IWR6843 chip to measure air velocity, where the actual air velocity is approximately 344 m/s. However, with our current configuration, the Nyquist velocity limit is set to 30 m/s. How can we accurately interpret such high velocities from our recorded data? If velocity folding (or aliasing) occurs across Doppler bins due to this limitation, will there be any bin error introduced with each fold?

Hello

It is not possible to measure such high velocities with mmWave radar with the chirp repetition period and carrier frequency of the 60GHz domai.

Hello,

The vast majority of time, radar is idling either during inter-burst/chirp period or inter-frame period. I do not believe fundamentally that these FMCW devices in these frequency domains will show any resemblance of accurate velocity measurements. That said, radar requires it to bounce off of something reflective, what do you propose is the method of having the radar waves bounce off air?
