IWRL6432: mmWave with Vital Signs Demo

Part Number: IWRL6432

Tool/software:

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

mmWave Vital Signs Lab | Video | TI.com

have seen your demo videos. Please clarify these issues,
1) Kindly let me know the accuracy levels with regards to Heartrate and Respiration rate.
2) Can you commit on any minimum levels of accuracy rate?
3) With whatever the accuracy figures as of now, is there any scope for improving accuracy further.
4) What is the maximum, minimum Heartrate range your radar as measure (for ex. 50 - 140 BPM )
Regards,
TICSC
  • Hi,

We are looking into your query. Please allow us a couple of days to respond

  • Hi,

    1. The demo provides an accuracy of +/-10 BPM for heart rate and +/-5 for breath rate. There are occasional jumps that happen which needs to be corrected. But generally heart rate is correct when the breathing rate is stable

2.Accuracy primarily depends on the movement of the person. If the person is stationary for more than 20 seconds, it is possible to achieve the accuracy as specified above

3.Yes, you can improve the accuracy based on improvement in the algorithm The current algorithm is based on the publicly available papers. More filtering can be added to reduce the jumps in measurements

    4. The current demo can measure in the range of 60-110 BPM. The maximum heart rate is limited by the chirping scheme chosen for the demo. It is possible to increase the max rate
