AWR1843BOOST: AWR1843 connection and mmwave demo visualizer problem

Subject: Issues with Reconnecting to mmWave Demo Visualizer (Web) and Plotting Heat Maps

Message:
Hello,

I am working with the AWR1843Boost module and using the mmWave Demo Visualizer. However, I am encountering the following issues:

  1. Once I disconnect the module from the mmWave Demo Visualizer, I am unable to reconnect it to the system. Restarting the visualizer or re-plugging the device does not seem to resolve the issue. Could you suggest steps to troubleshoot this?

  2. I am unable to plot the Range-Azimuth Heat Map and Range-Doppler Heat Map in the visualizer. I have ensured that I have selected the correct configuration, but the plots are not generated. Are there any additional configurations or settings I need to check to enable these plots?

  3. As shown in the attached screenshot, the hardware is not connecting to the system. The message at the bottom of the visualizer shows "connecting to 1 of 2 targets," but it does not proceed further. How can I resolve this connectivity issue?

I would appreciate your guidance in resolving these issues.

Thank you

  • Hi Shivam,

Can you mention what have you flashed in the EVM?

    Regards,

    Shruti

  • Hi Shruti,

    The flashed files are

    • out_of_box_1843_isk.bin
    • out_of_box_1843_aop.bin

Additionally, Im sharing the path of these file too

    • C:\ti\radar_toolbox_2_20_00_05\source\ti\examples\Out_Of_Box_Demo\prebuilt_binaries

    Thanks and regards

    Shivam

  • Hi Shivam,

Can you try with the OOB demo available in the SDK first?

Download the latest SDK from the product page and follow the steps mentioned in the user guide to test the same.

Let me know if that works.

    Regards,

    Shruti
