DRV5011: Board Layout

Part Number: DRV5011

Tool/software:

Dear, Hall Effect Sensor team.

Our customer is about to begin layout of the DRV5011ADYBHR 4-Pin DSBGA on a board.
The customer will be using it for interchangeable lenses in a single-lens reflex camera.

Do you have any examples or materials on flexible board patterns and coverlay shapes?

We are also looking for reference materials on patterns and resist shapes as implementation examples on FR-4 boards.

Best Regards,
Hiroaki Yuyama

  • Hiroaki-san,

Thank you for reaching out with your question.  We don't have any example layouts or flexible PCB patterns for this device.  Flex PCB handling and IPC design standards should be followed.  Copper routing shouldn't be an issue for magnetic field permeability in most low speed use cases, and I wouldn't anticipate an issue in this application.

For routing, we typically would recommend to provide a good GND return path with decoupling placed near Vcc.  Routing should be able to comfortabley handle the maximum operating supply current of 3mA.

    Thank you,

    Scott
