TMCS1101: Output for TMCS1101A3U is 100mV/A instead of 200mV/A

Hello,

We have bought a bunch of TMCS1101A3U only to find that the output scales at 100mV/A instead of 200mV/A (from the datasheet). This is frankly unacceptable, I see that TI has seen this issue before and it was supposed to be resolved. Why are we still seeing the same issue 3 years later? We have confirmed that the code on the IC matches properly, so it is indeed marked as a TMCS1101A3U.

Could someone please reach out to me to provide me a link to parts which actually work as detailed in the spec sheet?

I am so sorry you are having this issue. From my knowledge, the issue has been resolved. Can you please provide the lot code as well as where you got the devices from? Can you please also include a picture of the markings on top of one of the devices?

Hello Holly,

Thank you for the prompt response. I'm attaching a picture of the markings on top of the device:

First line: Q01A3U

Second line: 22K

Third line: M000

The parts were purchased by our PCB fabricator, but they usually buy from Digikey or Mouser.

I have confirmed that these parts are from a lot that was requested back from DigiKey in 2022. I am sorry you are dealing with this issue. We are contacting DigiKey to figure out why these devices were sent out.
