Hi Sir,

I would like to ask the chirp_configs from 3D_People_Tracking (AOP_9m_default, AOP_6m_default)

AOP_9m_default.cfg: profileCfg 0 60.75 30.00 25.00 59.10 394758 0 36 1 96 2950.00 2 1 36

AOP_6m_default.cfg: profileCfg 0 60.75 30.00 25.00 59.10 394758 0 54.71 1 96 2950.00 2 1 36

If I would like to use these two config (BW>1GHz) will these two config will pass the FCC short range critera? peak conductive: -10dBm

(TI default conducted is equal 12dBm, if need to pass FCC short range conductive requirement that means the RF power need to tx backoff to 22dB, right?

Can you provide the IWR6843AOP profile that can meet FCC requirement with higher BW with or more 2GHz for good range resolution, and the maximum distance detection for FOV120(+/-60) can cover 8m, boresight detection can cover 10m

If you want to see if a chirp will meet FCC, enter it into the mmwave sensing estimator, and look at the following parameters:

1. Compliance Chirp Time (corresponds to Max Burst Duty Cycle). If you use the IWR6843AOP, then you are

2. Start Frequency

3. End Frequency

You will also need to consider the EIRP of the IWR6843AOP, which is 15 dBm based off the datasheet.

Since your frequency range in this chirp is 60.75-62.878 GHz and its chirp compliance time is greater than 7.5 msec, it would not pass FCC. You could try decreasing the start frequency down to 57.0 GHz to put you in the 57-59.4 GHz band.. See this guide for more details.

Thanks your reply.

If i would like to IWR6843AOP use more BW with more power, I would follow your suggestion to decrease the start frequency down to 57.0 GHz to put you in the 57-59.4 GHz band. Currently the RF spec from IWR6843AOP only provide 60-64GHz as the following, does IWR6843AOP support this chirp from 57-59.4GHz if I change?
