TMP117:I have a question about the TMP117NAIDRVT and TMP117NAIDRVR

Part Number: TMP117

Tool/software:

With the discontinuation of TMP117NAIDRVT, we are considering replacing it with TMP117NAIDRVR.
In the comparison of alternative products on the website, the local sensor accuracy (maximum) is listed as 0.1 instead of 0.2, but in 6.5 Electrical Characteristics Temperature Accuracy in the data sheet, the maximum value is 0.3 for both.
Which is correct? Or is this a separate item from the local sensor system?
Also, after checking the datasheet and application note, are they the same file, so no program changes are required for the replacement?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

  • Hello,

As shown in the TMP117 datasheet specifications table below, there are 3 different device orderables to choose from: TMP117, TMP117M, and TMP117N. They have slightly different accuracy specifications at different temperature ranges. TMP117N has a +/-0.2C min/max accuracy from -40C to 100C, meanwhile TMP117 and TMP117M have +/-0.1C min/max accuracy at different temperature ranges. I'm not sure which website page you were looking at, so I can't speak to that.

TMP117NAIDRVT and TMP117NAIRDVR are the same device, with the same WSON package, same TMP117N specification, same software. The only change is in the tape & reel packaging.

    Best,

    Sakeenah
