TMP117: NIST certificates for ICs bought in bulk

Part Number: TMP117

Tool/software:

Hello!

I am interested in manufacturing temperature sensor modules in bulk using the TMP117 NIST certified BGA chip (TMP117AIYBGR). My clients require a NIST traceable certificate for each and every single sensor (calibrated to ISO/IEC 17025 accredited standards). I do know that you can supply customers with certificates if they ask for it, but I am wondering how this could be done in bulk. Let's say that I would purchase 5000 chips in a batch to use for my 5000 sensor modules. Could TI provide me with each individual calibration certificate, for each different chip, on purchase? Or would I, the customer, have to read and register the calibration IDs from each individual ICs EEPROM, send the list to TI and await an electronic shipment of 5000 PDF certificates? How could this be done for a customer purchasing ICs in bulk like this?

Could you please send me an example or a template of your certificates for the TMP117 so that I can see if the layout and portrayal of the typical contents would be approved by our Quality department? I would like to start a conversation with one of the TI engineers (or some other more applicable employee) through E-Mail to discuss the maintenance of worldwide TMP117AIYBGR stock levels and pricing.

Many thanks in advance!

  • Hello Páll,

Thanks for your question. I am going to move this to an email thread, however if you wish to see a sample letter in the meantime I would recommend visiting the TMP117 product page and below "Product details" you should see a box like this:

From here, you can request a NIST letter for the TMP117. In the meantime I will close this thread and we will be in contact with you via email shortly.

    Regards,

    Harry
