Hi TI team,

I have questions about the power consumption of radar sensor. (IWR6843AOP and IWRL6432AOP)

 [1] When we say the power consumption of radar sensor, which definition and numbers are we using generally? 

There are lots of numbers and descriptions related power consumption. What is the reasonable to use?

For example, max power during active state, average power between active on and active off, etc.

[2] Based on the answer above, what are the power consumption of IWR6843AOP and IWRL6432AOP?

I can find several numbers in the datasheet but little bit confused which number should I use in general. 

I would appreciate it if you answer my questions.

    Typically we would quote the average power consumption of the radar in mW. The datasheet should have specific information for both sensors though.The average power consumption is typically important if estimating a battery life, or for meeting power consumption regulations, but the max power will be important for designing a board that will operate correctly when the radar is placed on it.

    For both sensors, the average power consumption will vary dramatically based off a number of factors, most principally, the ON time of the transmitter and the frame rate. Which numbers are you confused about?
