Hi team,

I am working on awr2544. I am able to get data_parser_awr2544.py script run with "hwam_lib.so" on x86-64 platform. However, I am about to migrate the same setup to run on nvidia jetson xavier which is based on arm64. May I request TI support to share the cross-compiled hwam_lib.so for arm64?

Please let me know if I need to contact TI FAE to get this resolved.

Hi Quoc,

In the latest SDK, we only have the python based AWR2544 data parser and decompression library supported for x86-64 (Windows and Linux). I need more time to check with the SDK team if they can provide us the library for arm64. If they can provide it, I will update you on the timeline.

Which compiler are you using for applications running on arm64? Is it clang?

I'm using Jetson Linux compiler toolchain: gcc/g++ Jetson Linux Toolchain — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide 1 documentation

Target OS: ubuntu 22.04 (Jetpack 6.2)

I have used aarch64-buildroot-linux-gnu-g++ to compile. Can you try to use the attached "hwam_lib.so" and test? We haven't test it at our end.

Thanks a lot for your support. It works really well on python script.

Just one question regarding to the performance with C/C++ compiler, I am able to use hwam_lib.so function in C/C++ program, however it's a little bit slow, my benchmarking for 1MB data decompression ~200ms. I don't know if there's a way to accelerate its performance.

Is this the whole time taken for python script to execute or it's just the time taken to decompress?

Hi Samhitha,

I called it in C++ program, not python. Running in python is even slower. The measured time is only for data decompression.

I can send you my C++ program, so you can let me know where I get it wrong.
