HDC3020: vacuum effects

Part Number: HDC3020

Tool/software:

I have a device with the HDC3020 that will be exposed to vacuum for maybe hours at a time.  I expect basically 0% humidity.  Will this damage or induce a permanent offset with the HDC3020?  I would expect needing to let it settle in humidity for sure, similar to post solder oven.  But I am concerned about a permanent offset.

  • Hi David,

0% RH will not induce an offset error. If that 0% RH was paired with a high temperature, that could induce a negative RH offset due to the baking effect, but that would be temporary and be corrected after rehydration.
