TDC7201-ZAX-EVM: Issue configuring registers and displaying graph in GUI

Part Number: TDC7201-ZAX-EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5529,

Tool/software:

Hello, I have a TDC7201-ZAX-EVM connected to a MSP430F5529 launchpad. I followed the TDC7201-ZAX-EVM user guide on how to connect to a pulse generator, upgrade firmware etc. and actually got the device to work as described in the guide.

After trying (and failing) to connect the EVM to another device via SPI, I came back to check if the EVM still works with the MSP launchpad. My setup is completely the same as when it worked, but I'm now running into an issue during the GUI setup. When I try to set the instructed values on the setup page and click "Read all", all the values max out (that is, for example, number of measurement cycles goes from 1 to 128, clock periods go from 10 to 40 and number of stops goes from "One" to "<7>", which isn't even available in the drop-down menu usually). I'm also unable to get any response from the graph tab, and when I do a one-shot measurement all the measurement result registers read "16777215" (which is 2^24-1).

Does this indicate that the device has malfunctioned, or is there a way to do some kind of a 'hard reset' of the TDC? I tried the 'RESET TDC720x'-button on the debug-page, but that did not resolve the issue.

Thanks.
