AWR1843BOOST: Need Help reading the data over UART

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Tool/software:

Greetings,

I am trying to read the OOB demo data over UART on a microcontroller ( Teensy 4.1 ). The RADAR shows up 2 Virtual USB ports on a single physical USB port. How can I disable the config port? I am using hardcoded configs and dont need the config port.

  • Hello KP,

I don't think it will affect even if its present also, right?
With the way our schematics is designed on the EVM, both will show up when connected to laptop.
It's not controlled by software as per my knowledge. As soon as you connect even without loading the software if you are just downloading the drivers it appears.
So, this would ideally be some change in the hardware that you would need to do if you don't require the COM port

  • Thanks for the reply,

I know that with laptop I can differentiate between config and data ports, However, I am directly connecting it to a microcontroller. There I wont be able to differentiate.

  • Hello KP,

Then you can refer the schematics and write to the PORT which you are looking for exactly right?
