IWR6843AOPEVM: Labs code is showing compiler error . Labs : Overhead Mount People Counting & 3D People counting

Hi,

Please upgrade to the latest out-of-box demo, or use CCS 12.7.1 with this demo. I am not sure if the latest CCS builds can cause a problem here.

Have you followed the instructions here?

I am using latest CCS studio version 20.x.x . All 3d people counting labs are showing same compiler error . error is consistent in industrial toolbox version 4.10.1 and 4.12.1  You are suggesting I should role back CCS studio ? 

I have gone through calibration procedure . At step3 , we should use visualizer to send calibration profile ? also the device should be with out-of-box demo? 

I will try to calibrate and get back to you. 

right now after uninstalling ccs 20.x version and installing ccs12.x version . I am facing below error. How do I install missing components ? ccs20 did not show such issues. 

Also another important question: If I use prebuilt binary for 3d people counting as provided . Can I customize boundary box ? can you provide steps or pointer ? I need boundary of 3feet x 3feet  . 

One more urjent issue which I am in need of help. 

When I use prebuilt binary provided for 3d people counting , I am not seeing any updates on visualizer. I did use right chirp configuration file from C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_12_1\labs\People_Counting\3D_People_Counting\chirp_configs. Is it possible to have a call with TI support team ?

You can find the boundary box definitions in the configuration file that gets sent to the device. You can modify it there.

See line 36.

You can find more info in the docs in the people tracking lab folder. Its location in the newest radar toolbox is C:\ti\radar_toolbox_2_30_00_12\source\ti\examples\Industrial_and_Personal_Electronics\People_Tracking\docs\IWR6843_People_Tracking_PDFs. THe location may be slightly different in the old toolbox code you're using.

Why are you using the old toolbox code as well? Can you update to the latest?

It looks like the frame counter is incrementing and points are being detected in this picture. Is that not accurate?

And steps look similar to user guide in RADAR_toolbox except calibration step.  

Q1: what is difference between Industrial_toolbox and RADAR_toolbox ? 

Q2: As working labs are provided in Industrial_toolbox , so I started referring user guides available there. 

Q3: Also I am using visualizer from path C:\ti\mmwave_industrial_toolbox_4_12_1\tools\Visualizer . Is that correct or do you suggest all resources to be used from RADAR_toolbox ?

As you can observe , counter is incrementing but people identified is not updating. Even if I wait for 10 min , screen will be stuck. I reversed Antenna towards ground , which gives output as "zero" target , still UI will be same. What is reason?

Yes, after using CCS studio 12.7.1 and BIOS re-installing , compilation is working now. 

I am using all latest software and rollback CCS studio to 12.7.1 version. refer below image. Can you confirm are they correct or any update needed? 

Calibration : I have tried to do calibration as suggested in previous pointer by you.

when I upload ../profiles/profile_calibration.cfg and try to send , I see below error . refer top status bar. Hence successful calibration did not happen , I guess. 

I am looking for answer for my other ticket also , could you please answer that too ? 

Here are devices available with me: IWR6843ISK-ODS , IWR6843AOPEVM and MMWAVEICBOOST. 

I need to develop presence detection , motion detection application and based on that certain decisions to be taken.
