TMCS1123: Operating TMCS1100 and TMCS1123 below -40°C

Part Number: TMCS1123
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMCS1100,

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am working on a research project that involves multiple current measurements. One of the key challenges is the low ambient temperature, as the system needs to operate at -55°C.

The two current sensors I am considering are:

- TMCS1100

- TMCS1123

Both are specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, but their junction temperature range extends down to -65°C.

My question is: Would these sensors still function reliably at -55°C, or are there known limitations when operating below -40°C?

Has anyone tested or used these parts in such conditions?

Best regards,

S. Regenscheit

  • Sven,

    Thanks for using E2E.

The parts will most likely work down to this temperature, but as we only characterize the device to -40°C, this would be operating outside the datasheet recommended conditions, and we cannot guarantee the device's performance at this temperature.
