Asking on behalf of a customer currently evaluating both IWRL6432 and IWR6243:

The span of that chip is 57 GHz - 64 GHz, and we have some freedom do select the frequency range in our products.

Has TI any measurement data of the maximum (conducted) output power per channel as a function of frequency? Also, are there any measurements of the sensitivity per channel on the Rx-side as a function of frequency? This would help us optimizing the overall performance of the system.

There are for example some plots of the radiated power for the AoP version in its datasheet (see figure below), and there are quite large variations in the frequency span.

Can we share such charts for both (non-AOP) devices IWRL6432 and IWR6243?

Hello Wolfgang,

It depends on the antenna design, what would be the frequency response. Device wise the frequency support is 57-64GHz. Based on the antenna radiation pattern across frequency, a sweet spot can be selected for the required bandwidth. For non-AOP mmWave sensors the antenna design would depend on customer.

Excluding the antenna response; are there available data for Tx/Rx RF performance over frequency?

Hello Magnus,

Yes, we provide spec for the Rx/Tx in the datasheet as RF specification.

For IWRL6432 Receiver and Transmitter S11 is -10dB, which means across the entire bandwidth from 57-64GHz S11 (return loss) is less than -10dB. Other details can be found in the RF specification section in the data sheet.
