TMCS1127: TI Cross for Yuen Tech YNC-500AT·CB Hall Current Sensor

Part Number: TMCS1127
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV411

Tool/software:

Hey Sensing Team,

I have a customer interested in a TI solution to replace YNC-500AT·CB hall effect current sensor from Yuen Tech. We searched the TI BOM Cross tool and nothing is reported so we wanted to touch bases with your team to see if you have any recommendations for a TI open loop hall current sensor that meets/exceeds the performance specs of this competitor device.

Please let us know if you have any follow-up or clarification questions!

  • Hello Matt,

    Thank you for your post.

I am having difficulty finding the datasheet for the YNC-500AT. Can you attach it in this E2E thread? Then I can recommend the best TMCS device to replace this.

    Best Regards,

    Joe

  • Hey Joe,

Sorry for my delayed reply as I've been on business travel this week.

Typing in "YNC-500AT·CB" on Google Chrome seems to be a helpful start; it gives you the link to the landing page for this device family and allows you to translate it in English as well. It also gives you the link to the datasheet which you can find here. Many of the key specs are given in English as well so hopefully that helps to assist in your recommendation!

Please let me know if there's any further info needed!

  • Hello Matt,

It was blocked on my machine when trying to access it but I received it from a colleague.

This is very different than the TMCS operation and I would suggest potentially something more like the DRV devices that are a core-based solution.

Please take a look at this app note for a core-based solution with the DRV411: tidu820.pdf We do not currently have a solution for sensing up to +/- 900A.

Can you provide their application requirements?

Do they need the full 900A of sensing range?

    Best Regards,

    Joe
