IWR6843AOP: IWR6843AOP Clock OSC & I2C

I have 4 questions about the IWR6843AOP component:

 

  1. I can’t use the CRYSTAL that you used in xWR6843AOPEVM , I will appreciate if you have another CRYSTALS that I can use.
  2. The lines: MSS_UARTA_TX, MSS_UARTA_RX in pins RS232_RX, RS232_TX are the only ones I need to communicate with the FLASH and Debug? (depending SOP2)
  3. I searched in the flash file that supports IWR6843AOP , I saw that the flash W25Q16DVZPIG has been tested to work but the catalogic number  was change to W25Q16JVZPIQTR
    In the catalogic number  the Q (W25Q16JVZPIQTR) means that the QE is all ready set to one without user setting .
    Can I use this flash for IWR6843AOP ?

 

  1. question about the I2C connection in IWR6843AOP:

    If the component is a slave what is the address of the component? and can the address be changed ?
    If he is the master how its work ?

    1.  Below are few alternate part numbers for the XTAL.

    2. UART_A instances might not be useful for communicating with the external QSPI Flash memory. RS232_RX and RS232_TX with proper SOP settings will allow to load the binary onto the QSPI Flash memory. MSS logger (& BSS logger) is useful for debug purposes.

    The device has an I2C driver built into the SDK, with examples and test code packaged into the SDK as well. Please refer to the code in the SDK for more information here: https://www.ti.com/tool/MMWAVE-SDK version 03.06.00.00-LTS for your device.
