AWR1843: Increase max unambiguous velocity in MRR

Part Number: AWR1843
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWRL1432

Tool/software:

Hi,

We're using MRR80 config on AWR1843 eval board. I see that as per current settings for chirp0 (fast chirp) the velocity resolution is 0.42 m/s and corresponding max unambiguous velocity is 13.37 m/s.

  • Can we increase the max unambiguous velocity by around 30% by reducing Tc for chirp 0 (currently it is set to 62us)? Pls guide how do we go about it.
  • Will this affect the max. range detection? We're OK to sacrifice the max range.
  • Can we do away with the slow chirps altogether? We can instead use this time as idle time to reduce heating. How do we go about it.

Thanks in advance!
