LMP91000: Radio Interference

Part Number: LMP91000

Tool/software:

Hi TI Team,

I am currently working on a Gas Sensor project using the LM91000 Potentiostat with a 12-bit ADC and the ADS1115IRUGR for the Alpha Sense CO-AF Sensor. The sensor operates well in normal conditions; however, it becomes susceptible to noise when exposed to radio frequency interference, such as near a walkie-talkie.

Could you please provide any application notes or reference designs that include considerations for EMI/EMC?

I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

John

  • John,

In short, no we do not have any LMP91000 specific guidance on handling EMI/EMC. Your best bets will be trying to do some general EMI protections in your design. Avoid PCB traces in loops that can act as an antenna, avoid copper planes underneath the part, and you can try using an RC filter on the output to filter noise if you know what the noise frequencies are.
