OPT4041: Help required to select proper sensor

Hello,

We are designing a Daylight sensor for Lighting Automation application, specifically to commercial buildings. Wanted to know whether OPT4041 is the right fit for this application or do i have to select any other better part? Any help appreciated.

    Hello Subrahmanya, 

    The OPT4041 will definitely handle your application. If you tell me more about your needs here I can give more input. That being said you likely don't need the wide band channel for your use case and could probably go with something somewhat simpler such as the OPT3001. 

    Are there specific features of the OPT4041 that caused you to be interested in it? If you need use of the wide band channel (ch 1) also then this is likely a very good fit for your application.
