Tool/software:

the datasheet, I noticed it is possible to connect the PGA460 via various bus protocols, such as SPI, OWU, and USART. Would it also be possible to do this via UART?

Or do I need to connect them via SPI when the UART_ADDR is programmed in?

I am also curious if there is a C library for the PGA460 that can be easily used with other microcontrollers that may not be from TI.

Hi Gijs,

Yes, the device does include UART communication. See section 7.3.6.2 of the datasheet for details.

Gijs,

Yes, you can communicate with up to 8 PGA460's on the same bus. Note that each device will need to have an address programmed to it before all devices are on the bus. See the thread below which has some good detail of how to set the address.
