DCA1000EVM: AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM

I am having trouble establishing RS232 connection to the DCA1000EVM.  I cannot find a user guide for DCA1000EVM to AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM configuration.  Using mmwave studio 3.1.4.4 I can connect via ethernet, but I get  a failure when connecting via rs232 through the COM port.  See Images:

    Hello,

    Please use below example as reference wehen connecting to the DCA1000. 

    This is the path for an example which was made long back: C:\ti\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_04_01_02\mmwave_mcuplus_sdk_04_04_01_02\ti\utils\test\cascade\am273x

    mmWaveStudio will not work with AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM

    Do I need to dig through the C++ code?  There is not a direct correlation between the example you provided and the issue I am having. Could I be having issues with the SOP settings of the AWR2243-2X-CAS?  The UART connection is through the mmwave board.  I was able to communicate via the visualizer for the two chip cascade.  Now it is a mmWave studio communication issue.

    Hello Kasey,

    mmWaveStudio is not updated for the AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM and hence not compatible.

    I have taken a step back and I am trying to simply load the binaries to the AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM through the UART connection via CCS.  I am following this document: file:///C:/ti/radar_toolbox_3_00_00_05/source/ti/examples/Automotive_ADAS_and_Parking/mmwave_2_chip_cascade/docs/Two_Chip_Cascade_user_guide.html#1-setup-the-evm-for-uart-boot-mode-flashing-mode

    I can successfully run the visualizer, however I am now having issues with the Developer's Guide.

    I have completed steps 1-4, but when I attempt to load binaries I get the following error message:

    I am using CCS version 12.8.1.

    I am getting the error at the moment. I am investigating further and will return with a response tomorrow. In the meantime could you check that when you are flashing if you are receiving this flash verify error

    I have been using MMWCAS-RF-EVM before. The AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM radar evaluation board seems to have just been released. I have learned that mmWave Studio does not support it yet. Does your team have plans to include it in support? If so, when is it expected to be released?

    Hello Kasey,

    Please check when flashing if receiving that flash verify error when flashing the debug image.

    This is caused by the QE bit not being set in production. In order to fix this, I am providing a file to replace the sbl_uart_uniflash.release.tiimage in demo.cfg.

    Essentially what you need to do is place this provided tiimage in the prebuilt_binaries folder and in demo.cfg replace the first loaded file with the one provided. Then the flash should occur with no errors, and you should be able to connect to the DSP core. Let me know if this fixes your problem.

    Also see if you are then able to capture data as specified in the user guide.

    Hello Gao,

    No there are no current plans for studio to support the AWR2243-2X-CAS-EVM.
