I have the correct enhanced port at COM10, the switches in the correct location. But I cannot flash. I bought a new board because the old one did the same thing. Please help.

  • Hi Griffin,

Can you please check if some other application is already connected or also trying to connect to the COM port? Are you able to establish a serial connection with some other device on your system?

    Regards,

    Shailesh

  • I power cylced and reset the board, killed everything on the com port in the terminal, tried 2 computers, multiple USB cables, and the correct drivers are installed.

  • Thanks for eliminating these possible causes for this issue.

Will you be able to take any non-AWR EVM or any other device that has serial communication and try to connect that to your system? Just to confirm that the issue is present only when it is an AWR device.

Also, if you are connected to the COM port using any other serial connection application, then it will block the CCS's connection to that COM port, so please ensure that no other application on your computer is trying to connect to the AWR device at the same time.

  • Aparantely you need to have the switch on the left turned up for flashing. Thanks
