Yes, this should work. The small difference between switch points will result with a tighter tolerance from unit to unit where the output will toggle and a nearly ideal 50% duty cycle. The potential down side is that if you manage to stop near the 0 crossing and have mechanical vibrations it is possible to have the output switch with very little motion.
