TMP118: When will samples be available for the TMP118MCIYMSR and TMP118MDIYMSR?

Part Number: TMP118

Tool/software:

Hi!

I haven't found out any info from the website regarding the availability of the TMP118 variants I referenced in the title - specifically the "C" and "D"  I2C address variants. Can TI supply samples?

There are no distributors with any stock and it's unclear whether TI has any samples.

For the A and B variants, Digikey and Mouser can supply, but on TI's website they are "out of stock" along with the C and D variants.

What are the supply plans for these parts?

Thanks!
Jerry Molnar

  • Hello Jerry,

When did you check the stock? Both variants are currently available on TI.com with stock.

For sample requests, if you scroll to the right you should see the "Request sample" button. Hope this helps!

  • Hi Harry,

    Thanks for your reply!
That is so weird!!! This is what I get on the TMP118 page. Out of stock! Could there an IT problem (Pages not refreshed on other servers).

The Octopart.com link below also shows that TI has no stock and only the A and B are available at Digikey/Mouser.

    https://octopart.com/search?q=tmp118&currency=USD&specs=0

What do you think? Which numbers are real?

    So weird!!! ;-)

  • Hello Jerry,

I agree, that is a little strange. The C and D variants released just last week so they may still be populating on our website for everyone. This would also likely be the reason Mouser and DigiKey do not have stock as of right now either. I would give it a couple days to refresh. If it still doesn't show up on your end, feel free to respond back to this post and we can explore alternate routes!

  • Hi Harry.

OK, that's great. Thanks for your help. I'll close this ticket and "Ask a related question" if it doesn't show up in a couple of days.

    Best
