Hi TI Team,

From the design guidelines suggested by TI team, we developed AWR1443 board according to our specifications. Our Plan is to connect AWR1443 via SPI to ESP32 such that we can collect the RADAR sensing data and send to ESP32 for displaying it.

I request the TI team to review our schematic and give your valuable suggestions if any changes required in Schematic in all aspects like (PMIC connections, SPI Connections any other).

I hope the earliest response.

Hi Vasu,

Schematic looks OK. Are you planning to use an FTDI chip to control the SPI bus on the MMIC via a USB connection? I don't see that interface on this schematic. Maybe it is on another PCB.

I am not using any FTDI Chip to control the SPI Bus on the MMIC via a USB Connection. If I am not wrong are you trying to say SPI bus must control via a USB connection? Here my plan is to connect SPI bus directly to ESP32.

If it is not the possible case, can you please suggest me how can I move forwad?

Hi Vasu,

No, it is not necessary to use an FTDI chip - I just assumed you were using that. Any compatible SPI interface is sufficient to communicate with SPI bus of the AWR1443.

I am not familiar with 'ESP32' - is that an FPFA / MCU based PCB?
