Hi, I'm working on out-of-box demo of AWR1843BOOST, and I would like to switch the DPU usage from using HWA to using DSP. From the system setup of 1843 I believe that is possible. Is there any quick instruction that I could follow to make such modification? Or is there a demo project that adopt DSP as DPU platform?

Hi Kevin,

Medium Range Radar demo processing chain is implemented using DSP. If you are looking for OOB demo that uses DSP instead of HWA, you can refer to AWR1642 SDK demo and modify AWR1843 SDK demo accordingly.

Thanks, but I check the MRR demo, I believe it is adopting HWA for DPC. Actually I think all demos for 1843 are using HWA. I'll walk through the 1642 OOB demo.

Here is the description from the MRR demo user guide which provides high level flow of the processing chain using DSP -

You can also check the source code of MRR demo to verify that it uses DSP for signal processing. For example, you can check MmwDemo_interChirpProcessing function present in dss_data_path.c file which does the range processing on DSP.
