Tool/software:
Hello TI,
I am currently working on a project where we are using the IWR6243 as an RF chip. However, we need Continuous streaming mode for certain measurements. When I look at the document "mmwave Radar Interface control Document IWR6243" and chapter 6.3 (Continuous streaming mode (in single device case)) with the API Programming sequence for the continuous streaming mode, I see that no runtime calibration is called before starting continuous mode. Am I correct in understanding from the document that if the configuration is changed, a new static configuration simply needs to be performed? Is mentioned as steps 6-11.
I am asking because in our tests, we have noticed power-jumps when changing the frequency for CW mode, especially around 60.5 GHz. In our software, we perform exactly the steps from the API Programming sequence of chapter 6.3.
So, just a short question: Should runtime calibration also be called in the case of a continuous streaming mode for the IWR6243? And if yes, is a profile configuration required for this? In all the documents I have read, runtime calibration of IWR6243 refers to a profile configuration.
Thanks a lot
