DCA1000EVM: [DCA1000] Only Power LED lights up after power-on, FPGA configuration fails – is my board damaged?

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843ISK

Tool/software:

Hi,

My DCA1000EVM used to work properly. Upon powering on, all indicator LEDs on the DCA1000 would light up briefly, and then all but the power LED would turn off after a few seconds. The connected IWR6843ISK radar module would also show faint activity via its onboard LEDs.

I used to be able to successfully configure the FPGA using this command:

.\DCA1000EVM_CLI_Control fpga DCA1000.json

However, now when I power on the DCA1000, only the power LED turns on, and none of the other LEDs respond. The IWR6843ISK board also shows no LED activity. Running the CLI command returns this error:

FPGA Configuration : Timeout Error! System disconnected

Does this indicate that my DCA1000 board may be damaged? Could it be a hardware issue, firmware corruption, or a loose connection? Any guidance on how to further diagnose or recover the board would be appreciated.

Thanks!
