I’m working with the Level Sensing Demo using Radar Toolbox SDK version 3.10.00.05, MMWAVE_L_SDK_05_05_03_00 and CCS version 20.0.1.4__1.6.1.

I’ve reviewed the UART callback example provided in the SDK, but I’m continuously seeing an "Error Reading" message on the serial monitor whenever I power on the board. This message repeats without any other output.

Could you please help me identify the root cause and provide the step by step procedure.

The demo is working as expected from my side. I assume you are getting this while sending the configuration one by one.
I just changed syscfg from polled to interrupt mode. I'm receiving done acknowledgement for every sent command

Can you first try with blocking mode?

For Blocking Mode, I did the below steps:

In the SysConfig file, I changed the Read and Write Transfer Modes to Blocking.

I wrote a UART_read_init() function to configure UART.

I called this function inside the dpc.c file.

However, I'm not getting any output.
Could you please help me identify what might be going wrong?

When I enable UART in blocking mode, I do not receive any "Error reading" log present in CLI_task — everything seems fine. However, this issue only occurs when I use callback mode. Could you please take a look and help verify this?

Hello Sharan,

I’m now getting the initial output — whenever I send data from the Serial Monitor, the UART callback function is getting triggered. However, I sometimes notice a data mismatch when printing the received data inside the callback function.

Below are the steps I followed to resolve the "Error reading" log I was encountering earlier:

1. Enabled UART in interrupt mode and handled both read and write operations in the callback.

2. Implemented the appropriate callback functions.

3. Re-initialized UART_read after every callback execution.

4. Quick Eval is Enabled, passed Configurations in the code and Comment out the CLI_task.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I should check to avoid data mismatch.
