Dear TI Experts,

currently i get my ADC Data over SPI. My Problem is, that i can get only 5 fps with my configuration.

Also the max fps rate is at 10 right?

So is there a possibility to get a higher Framerate, like ~100 fps and to capture the ADC Data via SPI?

Or is this maybe possible with the DCA1000?

Hi,

It does depend a lot on the size of the adc data you want to capture. What is the size of data as per your configuration?

For example this config. I want a higher Framerate, like a frameperiodicity 50 ms or lower. I know, that the ADC Data is sending in the frame idle time, but is it maybe possible?

Hi,

I think we are looking at around 64KB of adc data with this configuration. If you want the entire demo to run and capture the data simultaneously, this might be difficult to run under 50 ms. If we cut down completely on UART transfer and maybe do a few optimizations, we might be able to near the 50 ms number.
Also, how are you capturing the adc data currently? Is it through FTDI chip or via Logic Analyzer?

Capturing it via Logic Analyzer could be faster as it supports higher spi frequency.

Currently I capture the Data through FTDI chip. I also can capture the Data with DCA 1000. But its easier for me to handle over SPI... Is it possible with the DCA1000?

The Logic Analyzer is no option for me. because of the total setup

You can try removing all the tlv outputs via UART and just send adc over spi via FTDI chip and see if it's possible to hit your expected frame rate.

It's not possible with SPI. But I think it works with the DCA1000, the Data seems correct.
