IWR1843AOP:How to Transmit Continuous Wave and Related Features

Part Number: IWR1843AOP

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.
First of all, please note that this message has been translated using AI.

I would like to configure the IWR1843AOP to transmit a continuous wave at a fixed frequency in order to measure its transmission characteristics.
I connected the DCA1000 and configured the settings in the "ContStream" tab of mmWave Studio following the steps shown in the attached image.

Question 1
Does this configuration cause the IWR1843AOP to continuously transmit a wave at 77 GHz?
Does enabling "Stream Enable" start the continuous wave transmission?

In addition, I tried using the "Capture and Post Process" function, but just a few seconds of capture generated two 1GB files and one 700MB file, as shown in the attached image.
When I check "Post Processing" in the Display tab, I get an error message as shown in the image.
Of course, I understand that since continuous wave transmission is used and no chirp configuration is set, distance measurement of objects cannot be performed.

Question 2
In what scenarios are the "Basic Configuration For Analysis" and "Capture and Post Process" functions intended to be used?

That is all. Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,
