Hi,

where can I read how to define a configuration file that forces 2944EVM to work in DDM mode, for example, using the local (python-base) visualizer? If there no such documentation, please direct me how to do that

thanks you for the link.

But the configurations provided in it are suitable for the case of DDMA, that is, a multi-user case. While I'm interested in a single user DDM mode, where transmitters are used to generate an angle resolution. The reason for that is critical for our application: I want to set a maximal permitted number of loops (255) over a single user to improve SNR for a maximal extent.

Please explain what should I change in configuration to move from DDMA to DDM of a single user

Hi,

Unfortunately the SDK demo does not support single TX. TI does not have a demo that supports single Tx

There might be an option to have several Tx transmitters, but a single user, that is, the multiple number of transmitters is used not for multi-user access, but for improvement of an angle resolution. So, is it possible to run 2944 with a single user multiple Tx configuration?

No, this is not possible.

Unfortunately the demo is not flexible. It was optimized for the DDMA use case described in the documentation.

May we ourself change a chirp configuration to fit our specific case or it is very challengeable?

There is some configuration possible. For example, it may be possible to increase the frame time.

However the configuration is very limited. As I mentioned it is not possible to use only 1 Tx for example.

I was thinking about your activity. If your intent is to develop an algorithm, than I think that a possible way to move forward is as follows

1) Configure sensor with LUA script using mmWave Studio

2) Capture raw data with desired configuration

3) Process raw data with Matlab/Pyhton code that you will develop

This should help you develop quickly the algorithm.

After you develop the algorithm in matlab you can consder implementing it on the AWR2944 EVM
