TMP113: TMP235A2 vs TMP113 technology

Part Number: TMP113

Tool/software:

Hello,

Can you confirm that the inner sensing technology from the TMP113 and TMP235A2 are different ?

We need dissimilar measurements, not just in terms of package/interface.

I would believe so as the TMP235A2 shows thermal diode in its internal architecture and TMP113 shows thermal BJT.

Best regards,

Clément

  • Clement,

TMP113 is a digital temperature sensor, and TMP235A2 is an analog temperature sensor, so their die's are different and interfaces are completely different. They are also made on different fabrication processes so their core design is different. However, at the most fundamental level, both utilize the same inner sensing technology of a thermal junction.

What do you mean by needing dissimilar measurements? Your system requires two different kinds of sensing technology?

    Thanks

  • Alex,

Not necessarily different kind of sensing but different interfaces/processes/...

The fact that the processes are different answered my question.

    Thank you,

    Clément
