IWR6843: How to investigate the cause of radar signal attenuation

  Customer uses the same antenna design as the EVM board, and recently produced products have shown significant attenuation in radar signals. Trying to use PCB boards of different thicknesses and conducting wire width tests, both are worse than before. May I ask from what other aspects can we investigate the reasons.

    there are couple of other aspects that can be checked.

    1. Is the TI stack-up followed as is?

    2. By stack-up I mean dielectric material, thickness of dielectric layer, finished copper thickness, over all PCB thickness.

    3. What is the etching tolerance of the FAB?

    4. Does the power supply network follow TI recommendations from max current capacity perspective depicted in the device data sheet?

    5. How much attenuation has been observed?

    6. Which EVM has been followed ODS or ISK?

    7. Is it possible to show the antenna performance degradation?

    8. Is it possible to share the layout?
