Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVEICBOOST,
Tool/software:
Hello TI Team,
I have been working with the IWR6843ISK Rev B board along with the MMWAVEICBOOST board successfully using the 60-pin connector interface. In this setup, I configure the radar over UART using RS232_RX
and RS232_TX
from the ICBOOST board, and control reset using nRST
. I retrieve radar data via the MSSLOGGER
UART pin.
Recently, I purchased a new IWR6843ISK board, and the one I received is Rev D. However, I noticed that the two 60-pin connectors on the Rev D board are not in parallel, unlike the Rev B board. As a result, I'm unable to plug it directly into the MMWAVEICBOOST board in the same way.
I have the following questions:
-
What is the recommended method to connect the IWR6843ISK Rev D board to the MMWAVEICBOOST board, given the connector layout difference?
-
Is it possible to use only the J4 60-pin connector of the MMWAVEICBOOST board with the IWR6843ISK Rev D for my use case (UART configuration via RS232_RX/TX, nRST control, and data via MSSLOGGER)?
-
Are there any specific hardware jumper settings or firmware changes required to support this configuration with Rev D?
My application does not currently use the XDS110 on the MMWAVEICBOOST. I only use the mentioned UARTs and reset line to configure and communicate with the radar.
Any clarification on supporting Rev D with existing MMWAVEICBOOST hardware would be very helpful. Additionally, could you please provide the schematic and datasheet for the IWR6843ISK Rev D board?
Thanks and regards,
