TMP275: Long term availability and possible newer alternates

Tool/software:

I am looking for an I2C compatable temperature sensor. The TMP275 meets my needs, however I am concerned about availability and obsolecence.

  • That said, what is the most popular version of this part?
  • Is there another part i should be considering that is newer and/or more popular.

    Hi Chuck,

    There are no plans to obsolete the TMP275.

    That said, some software compatible devices include TMP112, TMP75, TMP1075. I might recommend TMP112 which also has 0.5C accuracy, and comes in a smaller package, although it has 2 less address pins and the supply range is different (1.4-3.6V).
