AWR6843AOPEVM: "Can't generate board data file [...].dat the driver/adapter port variable values are bad."

Part Number: AWR6843AOPEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR6843AOP

Tool/software:

The example "Out of box 6843 AOP" demo builds, but I'm getting:

That the "port values are not correct".

According to this the "Industrial Visualizer app":

I am able to connect to the device and also receive its data.

So where can I mess with the port values or is some other setting not correct?

Thanks.

  • Hi Daniel,

Can you confirm whether you are using AWR6843AOPEVM or some other board?
Are you building app image for AWR6843AOP device, because we notice that xWR6843 is selected in the visualizer image?
I am looping our SW expert to respond on this.

  • Hey Daniel,

Regarding the first error, is this upon trying to connect the debugger in CCS or build the project? Regarding the port values, the correct port values can be identified by opening up the Device Manager and locating the Enhanced (DATA) and Standard (CLI) COM ports - see image below. The port numbers should be automatically assigned sequentially, so I'm a bit confused on how your ports 7 and 10.

    Regards,
