Problems with TMP006EVM - "Does not ack"

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP006

Hey guys,

My TMP006 EVM board seems to have stopped working in the middle of running. When I try to run the software again, it seems that the TMP006 is not sending any ACK bit to acknowledge. It definitely seems like a connection issue, but I wasn't sure exactly where. Has anyone else run into a similar problem?

Thanks,

Ashin

  • Ashin,

First let's make sure the TMP006EVM is receiving power from the SM-DIG. There should be two green lights visible in the SB-DIG, if only one green light is on please click the EVM Power Control button at the top of the TMP006EVM software:

If the EVM is receiving power we will need to dig a little bit deeper. Have you made any modifications to the EVM or the EVM software? You should check the that TMP006EVM is properly connected to the SM-DIG. When looking at the SM-DIG the Texas Instruments logo and the TMP006 should be on the same side:

It may also help to try a different USB port on your computer to rule out that issue.

  • Hey John,

The power control and orientation looks fine. I think I might have shorted the circuit somehow, so I figure to just order a new one.

    Thanks,

    Ashin
