FDC2114EVM: Measuring above 10 nF

Part Number: FDC2114EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: FDC2214EVM

Tool/software:

Hi,

I've recently been using the FDC2214EVM board and was wondering how I could make measurements above 10 nF. I am using a custom sensor and figured I could add inductors and capacitors in series and parallel to the existing 18 uH and 33 pF onboard LC tank so that I could make measurements of capacitors above 10 nF.

If I do this, what settings on the GUI need to be changed? I think I have to adjust the sensor filter bank settings to reflect the new LC tank's inductance and capacitance; however, I was wondering if I also need to update the Fref settings (specifically, the divider code) so that the sensor frequency is close to the resonant frequency of the new LC tank.

Thanks for your help!

Best,

Mathieu
